Karachi now uses a citywide faceless e-challan / e-ticketing system run by Sindh Police (Safe-City / TRACS). The system publishes challans online and after a recent MoU official traffic e-challans are being delivered to violators’ homes via Pakistan Post.
Because different provinces run different systems, Karachi (Sindh) challans DO NOT show up on the Punjab/PSCA e-challan portal.
Pay Karachi E-Challan

- Start at the official site first
Go to the Sindh Police official challan/check page (sindhpolice.gov.pk → Online Public Services → Search Challan) and use the CNIC or vehicle registration number to search. - Or install the official app (Android)
Sindh Police provides an official faceless e-ticketing / TRACS app (download link is published from the Sindh Police site). Only install the APK from the Sindh Police / Karachi Traffic Police pages and do not install APKs received from random SMS or WhatsApp links. - What to enter to check
Enter your 13-digit CNIC or the vehicle registration number. The portal/app will list challans and (where available) camera evidence, violation type, date/time and fine amount. - Look for the official QR code on the slip
Official e-challans include a QR code on the challan slip. Before scanning, confirm the slip came from Sindh Police or Pakistan Post; when scanned the QR should take you the colored version of violation report. - Official delivery: Pakistan Post courier
Sindh Police has signed an MoU with Pakistan Post to deliver e-challans to citizens’ addresses in Karachi/Hyderabad (24-hour local delivery claimed in official notices). That means a physical challan/courier slip from Pakistan Post is an expected, legitimate channel for receiving a challan, but always confirm by checking the online portal/app first. - Pay via trusted channels only
Pay through the options shown on the Sindh Police portal or official app (mobile wallets, banks or links provided there). Save screenshots/receipts after payment. - If you think a challan is wrong
Use the app/portal to view the evidence. If the image/time/plate looks incorrect (cloned plate, sold vehicle, old registration), visit the nearest traffic police office to lodge a dispute and request footage verification. Keep CNIC, registration book and any transaction receipts.
Karachi ≠ Punjab (use the correct portal)
Punjab’s e-challans are operated through PSCA / Punjab Safe City Authority and the PSCA/ Punjab portal/app; that system covers Punjab cities.
Karachi challans are managed by Sindh Police / Karachi Traffic and will not appear on the Punjab/PSCA e-challan portal.
If someone tells you “search the Punjab site for Karachi challans,” they’re mistaken. Always use the Sindh Police site/app for Karachi.
How to spot and avoid scams (practical checks)
- Ignore unsolicited SMS/WhatsApp links that ask you to download an APK or “pay now” immediately; scammers use urgent language. Instead: open your browser and go to sindhpolice.gov.pk yourself.
- Only install APKs from the Sindh Police site (or official Google Play app, if/when available). Third-party stores or forwarded links may contain fake apps.
- Check sender of physical couriers legitimate mailed challans should come through Pakistan Post under the Sindh Police arrangement. If a courier claims to be Pakistan Post but behaves suspiciously (asks for payment on delivery in cash to a private person, asks for bank details), call 15
- When scanning a QR code, validate the final website/domain before entering any banking details. If in doubt, pay via the official portal after logging in directly.
